Regularly monitor the baited areas if you are actively at war with an ant colony. A large and active colony can consume and carry off quite a bit of bait over the course of a few days. Add new bait stations as needed if you are using TERRO T300B Liquid Ant Killer Stations or apply more bait if you are using TERRO Liquid Ant Killer II. Try your best to limit contact and not interfere with the ants or baited areas.
As a reminder, it can take up to 2-4 weeks to eliminate some ant infestations. The bait is designed to be a slow kill so that the ants that eat it can return to the nest. This allows a pheromone trail to be laid so that other ants will be able to find the bait. You will likely notice large amounts of ants at first. Over time there will become fewer and fewer ants coming to the baited area.
Does TERRO Liquid Ant Bait Expire?
If you have been storing your TERRO ant bait for a while, you may be wondering if it has an expiration date. Liquid ant bait changes over time with use and environmental changes and can become less effective as an ant killer.
When you have an ant issue, you need to know you can rely on your liquid ant bait to eliminate those unwanted intruders. We cover this in greater detail in our post, Does TERRO Ant Bait Expire?
